View of the 4 generations

Foundation for Holocaust Victims, Café NOD, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee organized a meeting on 18th March in Café NOD. The meeting was about the topic of the View of the 4 generations and was organized for the occasion of the 80th anniversary of eradication of the Terezín family camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Hosts of the evening were Toman Brod, a historic and a contemporary witness (a survivor), Alena Lehovcová, a biologist (2nd generation), Bianca Lipanská, a convention interpreter (3rd generation) and Ron Stern, a student (4th generation). The meeting was moderated by Irena Kalhousová, the director of the Herzl Center for Israel Studies under the Charles University, who asked everyone about their relations with Judaism, about their experiences with antisemitism and about their view on current Israel. One of the co-organizers of this interesting discussion was the Terezín Initiative.
